Rise Up and be Courageous

Courage, it is such a beautiful, yet a unapproachable word. Do you remember being a young child, sitting on the edge of your bed, feet swinging, the room pitch black? Everything looked like monsters in the shadows, and you were more than certain the Boogy Man was living under your bed. I bet you were terrified like Medusa was looking you in the face. But you know what? It’s time […]

Why think, Push? [ Persist Until Sh*t Happens]

I love mnemonics. They are catchy, quick and can snap you back into a winning mindset. Here’s one that recently came to mind. PUSH. Persist Until Shit Happens. Think of the expression “Get out there and Make Shit Happen”. Excuse the language but I tried “Special”. It didn’t seem to fit. Neither did “something”. It lacks the umph. The only word that expresses the meaning I intend is the word […]

Why is everything better together?

In life, there are moments when we feel we are alone in our endeavors. It may be working on a project, learning a skill, or just getting through the day. The truth is we are never alone in anything we do. There’s support from your friends you reach out for advice. Support from your spouse and family members with love and sometimes… criticism. ( Love you more Hun )  Support […]

I feel we all have at some point, and so I wish to express the beauty in that. If there is one thing you should know about me is my love for beautiful differences. Now it is time I help you […]

For anything worth having one must pay the price; and the price is always work, patience, love, self-sacrifice – no paper currency, no promises to pay, but the gold of real service.

Why practice patience? Good things come to those who wait.

****Disclaimer**** This post actually tested my own patience. At first, I found myself not able to string words together on the page. With my mind blank and fingers unable to strike away at the keys, I started to become frustrated and flustered. Even when my fingers started to find a rhythm, the words never seemed to add up. I started to ask “Why am I even writing about this?”, “Should […]

Becoming the Change

Becoming the change, becoming the change. How am I supposed to do that? We’ve all asked ourselves this question, sometimes a thousand times a day. Sometimes once a year. Humans crave to change the world, to make it better, and to help. So how do you bring about the change in the world? Well, I am going to tell you a quick story here to help start off this mission of becoming the […]

Branching Out & Breaking Your Mold

If there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I love individuality. When I see someone strive to be their own person, I can’t help but smile that entire day. It’s magical. I absolutely love seeing people choose to be different. My go-to, generic advice has always been: “work on yourself”. Sometimes my friends will come to me with problems and my answer to them almost always is […]

“Learn the art of patience. Apply discipline to your thoughts when they become anxious over the outcome of a goal. Impatience breeds anxiety, fear, discouragement, and failure. Patience creates confidence, decisiveness, and a rational outlook, which eventually leads to success.”

Why set goals? A roadmap to your dreams.

Hello, readers! Let’s follow up on the topic of dreams with a practical guide. Now, It’s one thing to picture a dream with your mind’s eye and say that’s what I want, but how do we go about bringing it to life? How do we turn a make-believe story into a reality that we can touch with our own hands and see with our own eyes? What steps do we […]

Summer Days And What To Do With Them

This’ll be a pretty straightforward one, so sit back, relax, and (hopefully) enjoy! Over here in the Pacific Northwest, the days have been getting significantly longer and people have been complaining less and less about the all-too-familiar Washington rain. I can’t complain one bit. The state’s beautiful with terrible weather, so you can imagine how things go when the clouds decide to stay home. So this is only my second […]

Hello, Friends! We are another day closer to our goals and to our dreams.

Why do we dream? A tribute to the dreamer.

We are primed to dream very early on in life. The first time was probably when you were asked: “What do you want to be when you grow up?” Do you remember? It may have been something along the lines of “An Astronaut!” ,”A Firefighter!” or even “Just like you Dad!”. However, you answered I’m sure the thought brought a wide grin to your face. Why? The answer is your […]

Finding Something You Love

Finding your passion(s), at least to me, is a huge part of enjoying life. Personally, I used to feel pretty empty and unproductive before I actually went out and tried to find something I enjoyed. Everyone’s different, so take everything I have to say with a grain of salt. This is just a little bit of my life and what worked for me. Hopefully, something sticks and you find a […]

Captain’s Log #1

Dear Journal, I’m sorry I haven’t written to you in awhile. I know you must miss the feel of graphite against your pages. It’s been twenty-three days, four hours, and twenty-seven minutes since I started a new chapter in my life. “Rise and Fall of a blog” Ha! I only added the fall part for insurance. Who knows how long this mighty ship will sail? Only time will tell. Though […]
